We just conducted a webinar with the same title as this blog post ─ “5 Reasons to Use Automated Workflows in Your ERP Solution” ─ and in this webinar, we asked our attendees this question: “What would be the most valuable benefit of automated workflows for your business?" We found the results to be fascinating…
We knew that the automated workflows benefit—“reduce manual effort and paperwork and increase productivity” ─ would rate highly, but to be rated more than twice as high as the next highest (“improve visibility & control of enterprise processes”)—we found this quite remarkable.
A Closer Look
But once we started to look more closely at this benefit, “reducing manual effort and paperwork and increasing productivity,” it really does have some pretty amazing strengths.
For example, by eliminating “busy work,” one can free up not just minutes of an employee’s time—but hours. In fact, one Macola 10 customer, Don McCall, Director of IT at G.L. Mezzetta, explains, “In one department, we dropped four hours every day on one task; and that’s really just by using workflows and document management.” (see the video here: Don McCall, G.L. Mezzetta, Inc. – Reduce Manual Effort & Paperwork)
So yes, even though there are many benefits of incorporating automated workflows into one’s ERP solutions, perhaps the most impressive one is the ability to “reduce manual effort and paperwork and increase productivity.”
